Posture Workshop for Better Health
Join our Posture Workshop to explore simple, practical strategies for improving posture and movement in daily life
Our posture naturally changes over time, often without us realizing it. The way we sit, stand, and move becomes habitual—sometimes in ways that put unnecessary strain on our muscles and joints. Poor posture can lead to stiffness, discomfort, reduced mobility, and chronic pain. Improving your posture isn’t about “standing up straight” but learning how to move with greater ease, balance, and efficiency
What You’ll Learn in the Posture Workshop
In this 2.5-hour interactive posture workshop, we will cover:
✅ What good posture is (and isn’t) – debunking common myths
✅ How to sit, stand, and move with ease – reducing strain on muscles and joints
✅ Common posture habits that create tension and imbalance – and how to change them
✅ Why forcing “correct” posture doesn’t work – and what to do instead
✅ How to move using your knee and hip joints – preventing pain and stiffness
✅ A restorative lying-down practice
This is not an exercise class, it is an introductory workshop offering some practical information and tips. Led by experienced Alexander Technique teacher Sarah-Linda
