What Happens in a Lesson?
A typical lesson focuses on everyday movements. We look at how you move when sitting, standing, walking, and bending etc. It is a way of becoming more aware of unconscious habits that may be affecting your posture and ease of movement
To begin with, you’ll learn to observe patterns of tension in the body. Gradually, you’ll discover how to release unnecessary effort and move more freely
Key learning areas:
✅ Exploring how your body is designed to move naturally
✅ Identifying habits that create unnecessary tension
✅ Developing practical strategies for ease of movement
A key part of the lesson is “chair work”—looking at how you move from standing to sitting and back again. This helps uncover habitual patterns that may be affecting your overall balance and musculoskeletal system
Another key aspect of the Alexander Technique is awareness. You’ll learn how everyday habits can create tension—and how to shift them
Lessons also include semi-supine work (lying on your back with your knees bent). Gentle hands-on guidance helps you release tension and allow a more natural ease of movement to emerge
Benefits of Alexander Technique Lessons:
✔ Learn to sit, stand, and move with less effort
✔ Gain a better understanding of your posture and movement
✔ Reduce unnecessary tension and strain
✔ Improve coordination and balance
✔ Experience a sense of lightness and ease in daily activities
How Many Lessons Will You Need?

Unlike quick fixes, the Alexander Technique helps you make lasting changes. Many habits are deeply ingrained, and the goal is not to “try harder” but to stop interfering with your body’s natural design
